I do consider myself a religious man, but I do agree with the courts decision on this one. I also think they should take down the confederate flag all ready. Civil War is over, no longer have to celebrate southern pride with a century old fallen union.
And if there is any place that needs to be carpet bombed, it's New Jersey. Just give me time to pack up my things before the air strike comes.

Well, God has been removed from the Pledge. Moment of silence banned from Classrooms, Ten Commandments now illegal, must make a legal motion that the Bible be declared illegal and no longer be used in the Courtroom, no longer place right hand on it and "swear to tell the truth and the whole truth so help you God", no one tells the truth or cares about the Bible anyway.
Where will it end? Time to declare all Religion illegal in the United States, ban all churches and shut them down, they don't pay taxes anyway.
It was intented to keep gov't from church, not other way around. :|

I agree with this thinking, I could care less what is on display in a god damn court house. If you don't like it don't look. What happened to tolerance, I guess it's only one way. If religious zealots want it, let them. I am by no means affilliated with any quackery religion and I'm not offend, I have other things in life to deal with.

Good for them (those judges) - I loathe how some people believe they are above the law simply because of what they believe in. It doesn't matter separation of state wasn't explicitly stated in the Constitution - judges have interpreted the Constitution in that way to protect people's freedom of religion, making the separation a law. Christians do not need a massive monument mounted on federal properties to feel justified in their beliefs. If they do, then they should ask themselves whether the only thing keeping them tied to their current beliefs are popularity and endorsement from public figures.

correcting past wrongs doesn't mean the entire church will become illegal. just because the church and government become truely separated at last doesn't mean that the church will cease to exist
the separation simply can't go farther then that.you mean diests. frankly some of the founders found organized religion a little dangerous. they saw how it worked in england and most everywhere else, highly educated men they were.
and its good that 10 commandments finally came down, it has no place at a court. most of the commandments are religious or slightly absurd to begin with. we have judges here.. not mullahs. if it was islamic scripture the people that "don't care" would freakin care quite a bit.
don't the courts uphold the myriad (read thousands?) of laws that are on the books that all essentially boil down to what the 10 commandments say?

Maybe for the secular ones, but I doubt even the most conservative court would try to enforce a law which says "Thou shalt have no other god but Me."
It's probably legally okay to covet your neighbor's ox, too.
