for all you 'Cuse fans that haven't heard.

Melo had a conference at 2 pm today saying he is going into the NBA Draft.

Sad to see him go but can't wait to watch him in the NBA! Never have been a big NBA watcher but I will be when he is playing

Suprise, suprise. If he can stay with it for awhile, he'll be able to buy his own university when he's through, and he can complete his education, then. Of course, he won't be able to play NCAA ball.

I sure would if I were him. Hmmm, guaranteed millions, or the chance of injury and never making it to the NBA?

I think Carmelo stands a good chance of going before Lebron. Both are incredibly talented but look at who they're playing against. Lebron dominated other teenagers while Carmelo made seasoned college juniors and seniors look bad (some of whom will see playing time in the NBA themselves). IMO, Carmelo has better-demonstrated that he's ready for the NBA.

Uh yeah...you want to be the GM that tells his fans that he had a chance to get Kobe or McGrady and passed up on it? Pfft...I'll bet you ANY AMOUNT that Carmelo isn't drafted before Lebron.

Yeah, I'm kinda bummed out that he'll be going pro, but I can't blame him. His mom can stop cleaning houses for very little money and he won't risk injury by playing another year. Plus, what else did he have to accomplish!? :Q

He's definitely a stand up guy - he has fun playing and that makes it that much more fun for the fans.

Looks like I'll start watching the NBA again - it's been awhile.

Cheddar and hype my friend. That's exactly why Lebron is going to get the #1 pick. He's a high school student who'se selling out stadiums for HIGH SCHOOL games. You think fan starved teams like Denver and Cleveland is going to pass up on that?

On top of that you think they're drafting him because of his dunks and putbacks...? WTF!!?? If you watch the games, Lebron's court vision and passing are things that can not be taught...THAT'S why he's coveted. The jumper can be developed later...just ask T-Mac, Kobe, KG, etc.
