there was a flash thingie that explained up to the 10th dimension. That one was super neat.

I haven't looked at the vid yet (downloading it over the night, just because I can't wait for it to finish, and I'm going to sleep now), but isn't time the 4th dimension?

i have as much interest in science and tech as anyone else, but sometimes these cosmological ideas or whatever seem to be just speculation and have no empirical evidence to support them.

The first half of the video doesn't have much bearing on the second half. The first half presents any 4th dimension as having the same scale as the other 3, but the 2nd half does not. Which brings into question why bother mentioning the first half except as some sort of contrived mind game. Atleast there is some evidence for an expansionary universe.

the whole point of the first part is to get you to think about a world where another physical dimension isn't visible or tangible to you, then he goes on to explain the 4th from our point of view

they seem pretty related to me

The 0 dimension is basically ideas. Your thoughts exist in the 0 dimension.

You exist in the third and travel in the fourth dimension.

By manipulating and sharing your 0 dimensional thoughts with others, you are influencing your fifth dimension.
