I love breakfast burritos, the ones at fast food places are never even a match for the ones from the local Mexican spots. This one is pretty good though, if not a bit on the small size. I don't see how a place can have a huge 6 Dollar Burger, yet can't make a decent size breakfast burrito. I haven't seen a commerical for it, and wouldn't know sh!t about it if I hadn't gotten a coupon in the mail. Free COFFEE with the purchase? what a deal lol.

the basics:
eggs
Cheddar & Jack Cheese
Hash Browns
Bacon, Sausage & Ham
country gravy.

too many kinds of meat and not enough of any one. I would have prefered one with just sausage or bacon, but whatever. The meat tasted pretty good, not a fan of Ham but it goes alright together with eggs & cheese. The country gravy is an AWESOME touch! I love this stuff, it's not the best Sausage gravy I've had, but it added a lot to the burrito. I'll never see this in a B.B. from a Mexican place.

The size, it wasn't small, but not exactly big. UP the street I have a few Taco shops that have HUGE B.B's, this is maybe 1/3rd the size. The eggs tasted fresh and not unnatural like whatever McDonalds uses *shudder* Bacon was cripsy and salty, Sausage was a bit small and didn't have enough spice. There wasn't enough gravy in mine. But props for Carl's for doing something out the box and making something that was already incredibly bad for you even worse. It add's a nice flavor to it. It needed more pepper, was a little on the bland side. Tortilla was alright, could have been a bit thinner, and maybe grilled quickly.

I would eat this again, err..... unless they take it off the menu I WILL eat it again. Don't know if I'll rush or go out of my way to do so though.

size factor - 4/5, I believe it will be suffice for most normal people. Yes I could eat 3, but I'm a freak of nature
flavor factor - 4/5 - it's missing something, but the combo of ingredients is good. Next one I order will have extra gravy. ummmmm gravy!
appeal factor - 4/5 - it looks huge and well put together in the flyer. As with all fast food ad's, what you order doesn't really look like the images. But it's a burrito, I didn't stare at it, I ate it.

I have never been a fan of breakfast burritos, not too fond on those sandwich "wraps" either. I pretty much only eat real mexican food in a burrito, otherwise I think it's crap.

I assume it's the same thing as Hardee's BBB, it was ok but it had an odd taste to it.

I don't really want to know what other kinds of "sausage gravy" you've had before.

I love breakfast burrito.
Too bad there's no cheap taco burrito shops here in Hong Kong.
Had one in a fancy mexican shop/bar one time, $100 HKD ~ $13usd for it. What a rip.

hmmm...that might be ok. Unfortunately, the closest Carl's Jr. is several miles out of my way in the morning.

When I was working, one of my favorite "at work" breakfasts used to be what they called a "5-Speed or 7-Speed Burrito" and sold on the roach coaches. Much as you describe: ham, sausage, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, sometimes with other things, sometimes not.

Load them up with lots of spicy-hot salsa and a bottle of juice...mmmm...ready to go until the carb-shock kicks my ass about 2 hours after I eat one...

I had one of the college cafeteria's "sausage breakfast burritos" a couple of days ago...not nearly as good.

I had another, wasn't nearly as good as the first. This one has way more Ham than anything else, and the hash browns weren't crispy at all. Maybe I got lucky the first time, or unlucky the 2nd time. I dunno, but I have to downgrade my rating from 82% win to a 74% semi-win.

and to Schfifty Five lol, I was just saying it wasn't great country gravy, tasted much like the powder stuff you can buy and make at home. Some places have Sausage Gravy that's so good you almost want to drink it straight. Carl's isn't on that level :D

:disgust: Hash browns belong on the outside of the burrito, and gravy doesn't belong in anything breakfast related, imho.

Now, if you have a Braum's nearby, check out their BB. Had one a few weeks ago, when I found myself near a Braum's on a Friday morning.........YUMMY!!

sausage gravy is awesome for breakfast! you don't like Busquits and Gravy I assume? That's one of my favorite things to eat. I also like Country Gravy on my scrambled eggs. As for the Hash Browns on the outside, well it's a Burrito and I think one of the purpouses for a Burrito is everything in your meal will be inside the Tortilla. Like a California Burrito with the French Fries inside. Makes eating a meal much more simple :)

The very name of the burrito makes it sound like it has 8000mg of sodium and 105g of fat.

It "only" has 770 Calories and 47 grams of fat, which is still a ton but not as much as 100+ grams of fat like some would think.

I would like to remind people Hadees and Carls Jr actually don't have the same things on their menu. There are infact two very different resturants with 2 or similar items. They just happen to be owned by the same company.

Carl's Junior = Gross!

Have you ever eaten there?

Have you ever worked at a CJ?
