Just a question: why are you so intent on getting a Crown Vic / Grand Marquis / Town Car? Size? Engine? RWD? Goodwill towards Ford corporation?
Tell you what you should do, is try to find one at an estate sale in your area. Old people gobble those things up. I worked in a Lincoln/Mercury dealership for a while, and there were a bunch of rich, geriatric regular customers who would trade in their cars every 3-4 years, almost always with very low mileage since they didn't get out much. When they die, their kids usually don't want the car and they just want to get rid of it. Buying at any dealership, you're getting an automatic markup, guaranteed. (Unless it's been sitting on the lot for the past year.) If you're looking to save money (sounds like you are), you can do a lot better than buying from a dealership.
