Why would you work in retail if you didn't have to? Wearing a nametag and trying to suck money out of the lowest common denominator wouldn't be my first pick out of college. Not saying that being an HR slug is any better but at least you'll be enter an environment that rewards intelligence.

OK...let's start with one thing. There is retail as a sales job and then there are management. I have done both, Im doing the management part. Its like saying working for Intel is great but if you are one of the assemblyman at Intel, it isnt like an software engineer manager at Intel.
