Reading everything BB has stated and all of the information we have about the 7800GS I am expecting it to launch within the next couple of months- AGP only.

i thought nvidia officially announced that 7800 GS would not be released at all?
and that anyone who actually own a 7800 GS (engineering sample) can contact nvidia and swap for either a 6800 GS or 7800 GT?

Was the 6800UE ever an official nvidia part or only something created by EVGA?

Gainwards CoolFX had the same stock clocks as EVGAs UE

Evga also gave away 20 units in a weekly contest, as a matter of fact someone from our forum won one, ill see if i can find a link.

I think the voodoo5 6000 will forever be the most valueable card ever made unless this card exists.

3dfx Phantom

yeah, looks like a bump.

What about the Quantum3D Mercury bridge? Not really a video card in itself, but I never heard about it at all until years later when they were being sold on ebay.

Hercules 3dprophet 4800 using the Kyro 2 SE gpu which was just an overclocked Kyro2 using Enhanced T&L. It was an interesting solution to the lack of hardware T&L on the Kyro2 which although resulting in a performance hit did allow the Kyro2 SE to run games it couldn't run previously. After the Kyro 2 SE was cancelled Enhanced T&L was added to the Kyro2 reference drivers so all Kyro 2's could benefit from Enhanced T&L. :)

I loved my PowerVR Kyro2's which probably explains why I owned:-

Shadow kyro 2 32mb
Videologic vividxs kyro 2 32mb
Videologic vividxs kyro 2 64mb
Hercules 3d prophet 4500 64mb

Actually I think you could buy that card. Even at several places up here in Canada.
But it costs CAD $1000+ so what's the point when you can get a X1900 for less than half of that.
