GERD can also cause chest pain because the acid inflames the esophagus and can lead to abnormal muscle contractions. This chest pain may feel very similar to the pain experienced in angina -- the pain felt by patients with coronary heart disease.

Although it does not cause heart palpitations directly, GERD-related chest pain may cause the patient to feel very anxious, and this may cause palpitations. Alternatively, a patient may actually be experiencing an attack of heart-related pain, or angina. In this situation, palpitations may be a direct result of a heart attack. Other symptoms that might indicate heart problems rather than GERD include nausea and shortness of breath.

He was showing dypsnea as well. Do you read what you post?

In other matters, I wasn't attacking you by saying you weren't informed enough (though by your response I seriously doubt that you are qualified), I was merely pointing to the fact that we don't have labs, PMH, FMH, or tests of any kind. You CANNOT diagnose based on symptoms alone. If you were qualified, I would expect you to know this.

How much do you weigh? What are your other risk factors.
If you are still having symptoms do not wait to see a doctor via appointment have someone take you to an ER at once. This would be my professional advice.

I have had times, where i have worked for 108 hours a week. (Believe it or not).
Its just stress...

If worrying about something will cure it.. then go ahead and worry.
But since it does not.. I am not sure whether it will be of any help.

So chill. All of us have to die one day or the another.
I am sure that nothing will happen to you....

All you need is a good days rest. I would suggest haveing a good dinner and taking a good 12 hour sleep.
You will be amazed at wht agood sleep can do :)

Chill.
Max.

Yeah talk about bumpage :p

It turned out to be inflamation of the sternum according to the doctor. He said the dizziness and other stuff was brought on by lack of sleep and stress.

I slept long and hard all xmas break when I was home from college. Its now totally gone which is good :)

Hey that's exactly what Costo is, I was telling you about that a couple of weeks back; I have the same thing. Glad to hear you've cleared up the morbid mystery, this just goes to prove that sadly, we are not as invincible as we'd like to think. At least my wife keeps telling me that. :)
