Last year I started on blood pressure meds due to an incident where I had double vision along with extremely high blood pressure. At the time I had to have a cerebral angiogram along with multiple MRIs and CAT scans to make sure I wasn't having a stroke or aneurysm (thankfully negative on both counts, there is no impediment to blood flow in my brain). Blood pressure at the time was ~213/135.

Fast forward one year, where I've been regularly taking Benicar + Bystolic + Crestor once per day. Blood pressure ~125/95, but I have no ability to do cardio whatsoever. About a month and a half ago I decided to get serious and have been going to the gym about 5 times per week (and I'm finding I'm getting addicted to exercise and healthy food), and I've noticed that my blood pressure has dropped: At a random time to day it was 107/71. However, earlier today I went for a one hour bike ride and checked immediately following that and it was ~89/62 (it slowly crept back up after that).

I have noticed that since starting the gym back up I've been getting periodic lightheadedness when standing up after a period of sitting down. It sounds like the exercise has been having a great effect, but it looks like I need to talk to the doctor about modifying my blood pressure med prescription :)

Anyway, there's really no point to this post other than to ask if anyone else here has been monitoring their blood pressure, and if you've been noticing similar effects.

Same. A drop after cardio. Thinks that's normal. My BP is directly affected by salt or the lack of. Like a catch 22. Not enough sweating to eliminate the salt and I need my meds. A lot of sweating and/or lower salt intake (I don't add salt to anything) with my meds and I sometimes I get lightheaded when standing. 115/70 right now. Under 110 on the top and I can feel it.

That 95 on the bottom is still way high, imo.

Your cardio will get better if you keep at it. If I miss 2 or 3 weeks, it takes about the same to get back to the level I was at.
