card with best bang/buck ratio

a radeon ve is definitely not the best bang for your buck
best price to performance ratio is Radeon LE. it costs the same or cheaper then a geforce2 mx and gives performance that is a little under a geforce2 GTS

S3 ViRGE! Why? Performance/Price=Infinite!

Ok, performance aint so hot. Maybe 3 seconds per frame in Wolfenstein 3D. But I'm sure you can find thousands of people who would give you one for free, so price=0. That makes for one great performance/price ratio!

Seriously tho, go get you a new processor, then you will actually get some benefits from a new videocard.

The Radeon DDR LE is definitely the best bang for your buck, but as the other people said, it's still going to do fairly poorly with a K6 series CPU.

Im a bit confused. I am looking @ these 2 cards the LE & VE. What Ive read ATI says that the VE has Z technology and that it reduces memory bandwidth consumption thus improving performance. The LE does not, yet you guys say the LE is better.>> ??? <<< I am looking for the better of the 2 for gaming... do you still recommend the LE over the VE? Thanks.😕
