I just put a geforce fx into my computer and rebooted (emachine with xp) and it did not bring up new hardware ballon am i alright to continue? I will really really appreciate the help. I just got WoW and need this to play it. Im jonesing for it PERTY PLEASE HELP ME.
it shows windows loading on the new card but wont show windows just a black screen so i put it on the onbaord one and then i see desktop.
this is before doing anything but instaling card and rebooting
so then i disabled onboard and get the same reaction this time onboard video is off and the new card does nothing except show boot up.
When windows makes the loading noise it makes it is a black screen from then on out.
what do i do now.
I can not get any picture whatsoever. (onboard is off) and geforce shows nothing but boot up.
Please help i Know this is a simple request as far as its a simple solution How do i get onboard video back. Please answer that at the least please please please.
Ok i have no video whatsoever after windows loads i only have video before it does on gforce i hit f8 repetedly and its not getting me to bios PLEASE HELP

so the new card shows video up untill the windows boot screen, what kind of card is it, agp, pci, -- make sure that the bios is set to the type of card u are using.
btw, to enter the bios, its either -- del, f1, f2 or esc
