That would be a long game

Do they have cribbage bars where you learned to play? When I was 17, I'd go to the cribbage bars and the oldtimers would play you for drinks. They never had to buy me very many drinks but, I learned a great deal that stood me in good stead when I was in far away places in later years.

Nope, but I have my grandfather who kicks my ass 80% of the time. Not sure if he cheats or is really lucky with the deals.

Us bridge players used to play a game called "952" - that's "nine five two" - while waiting for a fourth to show up and get the bridge game going.

I second Euchre, although not many people on the west coast have even heard of it. Seems to be a NE game mainly.
