I was thinking of Hearts. Normally a 4 player game but I guess there's no reason it can't be 3.

Spades works out better for 3 player than Hearts does. You take the 2 of clubs out of the deck so there are 51 cards and each player gets 17

Spades works out better for 3 player than Hearts does. You take the 2 of clubs out of the deck so there are 51 cards and each player gets 17

With hearts either the first trick taken or the first heart trick taken gets the odd card not dealt, depending on house rules.
