card for older board

Hey Guys I currently have a Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2PT, I was wondering if this card would be a good choice for it?,, and would be compatible

Yup, it should be compatible and a likely a decent choice if around $50. Did the built in motherboard graphics die?

For gaming (older games), sure. But for watching HD videos on a Core2-era rig, a Kepler-based GT730 is going to be better, lower-power, and quieter.

LOL. Plenty. But your question was fairly easy, and I own some GT730 cards (ok, they are really the Zotac GT630 Zone edition, with the Kepler GPU, but that's the same as the GT730). They are probably the "best" cheap solution for viewing HD. (Until when / if we get some LP low-power single-slot Maxwell V2 derivatives... I hope?)
