If everyone was moral, there wouldnt be a need for so many law and weapons. I'am pointing out the unfairness of it. One of the purpose of law is to bring a degree of fairness to things.

Carbon credits, much like ethanol, are a feel good tactic for politicians and business.
The credits do very little other than put a tradeable price on an unsustainable energy situation.

What does everyone here think about a personal carbon credit set for each individual. You go over, you buy it, you dont use it, you can sell it. Never mind the implementation.

What do you mean, "Never mind the implementation"? Are you trying to say that we should pay no attention to the multi-billionaire trading industry that will be born out of it and supported by this agenda?

Sadly, this is the best post in the thread. Carbon credits are a scam. A way to PRETEND that you're being enviro-friendly when you're really just trying to profit from the movement.

Do you know what 'taxation without representation' means? I don't think you do.

My beef with carbon credits and junk like that is that it's just another way for people with money to feel good about themselves raping the environment to line their pockets. I get the basic idea of carbon credits, but the idea is completely bunk because NOTHING and I mean NOTHING we do with our current fuel and waste situation will offset crap we are pumping into the air. It's just one big publicity stunt for the rich by the rich. There is no way that it's completely non-profit. Someone is banking off of it in the end.

Let's hope that money can stop your insides from turning crispy when the radiation soaked up from the sun gives us hell on earth.
Are you a cop or do you just like the icon? This planet is your as much as anyone else. Why should they be able to pollute the air you breath or I breath. Who do these people think they are?

I just started using the icon because nobody else did for the longest time.

I completely agree. Like I said, it's all just a big publicity stunt for dirty companies. Buying some crap from some company making claims that they are offsetting it seems like a total crock. We're destroying it too fast to compensate.

If you believe in global warming and the need to buy carbon credits, you realize that global warming will cause the oceans to rise - therefore, I have some great oceanfront property in Arizona for you... and if you don't buy it, I'll start driving unnecessarily in circles around the block and therefore use more carbon, so you're on the clock.

I'll sell anyone on here as many carbon credits as it takes you to sleep good at night. PM me for the green details.
