Car Wreck

On the way home, I saw a car wreck. A luggage bag was thrown clear of the wreck. I proceeded to administer CPR to the driver. Before the police/ambulance arrived, the driver gave me a card with a telephone number on it. No names, a long distance call. After the police cleared the area, I went back looking for the bag the police ignored when I told them about it. I found it and it has a lock on the case.

Who carries an unmarked cases?
Who has a unknown number on a card?
Why did the police ignore my story?

I gave the bag to my lawyer with instuctions, call the number.
I do not want to become anymore involved than I am now!

Any advice? I no longer have the bag and my lawyer has given it to a DA.

hey u're a good man.
most people wouldnt have stopped.
glad to see u know CPR.

i presume the guy didn't live?

1) People who are paranoid about people getting their name and/or address from their luggage at the airport.
2) Printed on it? Or did they write it? Could be anything, no way to tell without calling it.
3) Because that's not their job. Their job is to take care of the people involved, & prevent the wreck from impeding traffic.

The plain card with just a telephone number is odd. An unmarked luggage bag is not. Neither is the police ignoring you while they get focused on their job at hand. But I am surprised they would leave something like that at the scene.

Overall, that is weird. Why did your lawyer give it to the DA when you told him to call the number? Did you try using Reverse Lookup on the number (anywho.com, etc)?

Unless you are pulling our legs, this is interesting.

I had to control the bleeding. Nothing major, he was treated and released with no address or info. The way the police scared me when they did not want to know more than the accident info!

I just didn't like what was going down. My lawyer said the DA would need the bag for a investigation (sp?) as why all the evidence was not logged.

Maybe the guy was a FBI agent? 😀

Naa man I have no clue why. Was the number on the card printed or written by hand? Just call and talk to the guy I mean he should be willing to talk to you. YOU did help him out!!
