Car won't start - My key fits in but won't turn the starting lock - fixed!

What is going on here? The key goes in, door beeps if I leave the door open. But the I cannot turn the key to any position. ????

You guys were right. IT was the steering wheel that hadn't locked into a set position when I stopped I guess. I cranked it hard until it "locked", then the key turned.

In like 18 years of driving I've never had that....weird.

I've seen where people didn't put the car in park and it wouldn't start, but never this that I can recall. Learn something new every day.
 
I encountered this problem a few times with my car and I couldn't really figure it out. After putting the key in a few times it would work...I probably was just turning the steering wheel to lock position unintentionally while I was swearing.
