2003 Civic. Anti lock brakes engage in moderate to heavy braking. I thought that Anti lock brakes only engaged under heavy braking? It seems like with moderate braking they engage. In normal every day driving they seem to engage about 1/10 braking sessions. Is this normal?

Anti lock brakes suck and are a bane to humanity. That said, they shouldn't be engaging with moderate pressure. Take it to a dealer so they can rape you for something you never needed.
