Who makes a head unit with an integrated sirius or xm tuner (sirius preferred). By integrated I mean I don't want to buy and install an outboard tuner to expand a satellite "ready" receiver. I can fit up to DIN and 1/2 in my dash.

The offerings I've seen by Pioneer, Alpine, Clarion, and Kenwood all require an outboard sirius or xm tuner, and forget about Eclipse, they don't even support satellite radio at all!

Thanks,
JR..

wait wait wait....you want XM with an IPOD....so 20+GB of music isn't enough for you that you have to have 100 some odd channels of music as well??? Why in the world would you want/need both? unless your one of those pretencious ass' that just have it to have it.

before even entering this thread, Alpine came to mind... not sure of exact models, but I've seen them all at some of the local shops... Alpine is wicked

For features yes, but not if you're after SQ😉

I have Sirius, and a 20GB Music Keg for MP3s.... can never have too much. Sometimes I feel like certain band so I can switch to the keg.

well if you are an audiophile and looking for SQ, there are only a handful of companies which make HUs that will satisfy you. Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Clairon...all the major ones are out the door

and forget about mp3 HUs

Eclipse is about as audiophile as I need. Still affordable and they still do MP3's😉

Not true. Some of the big players make very good audiophile HUs.

Clarion has the DRZ9255
Pioneer has the DEX-P9 and DEQ-P9 combo
and let's not forget Alpine with their F1 Status (CDA-7990) unit

Any one of those units will have excellent SQ (and they should for the money they cost).

My judge of SQ is what the sound is like without any of the processing. The last time I went shopping I tried my best to turn off any DSP features of the HU I was looking at. When all was said and done the HU I chose had better SQ, to me, then any of the others even when they had the DSP features enabled.
