Well the reason for the cut back on pricing on amps is because of the huge markup car audio dealers use. I do not recommend buying stuff from dealers if you know what you are doing. Stuff can be found so much cheaper online just like with computer parts. FI, my brother just purchased a MMATS D300hc for $500 shipped! That amp retails for $999, then add tax and see what it comes to. If you are at all interested in Car Audio, hang around at www.elitecaraudio.com You'll learn quite a bit and find some good places to pick up gear. Zucchini, they are called component sets.

Mears, I agree with you! Those speakers I have above dealer quoted me $300 and $250 respectfully after I listened to them. I just looked online and found them for $120 and $110 plus $15 for both of the sets.

One thing I'd like to point out- JBL = Infinity = Harmon Kardon, I think Infinity Kappas AND References rock, at least for the consumer level... Infinity Betas are supposed to be killer, but those are kinda pricey As for subs, I really like the Solobarics from Kicker- has anybody seen their new square subs? Those things look pretty neat Rockford Fostgate Power Punch DVC's are pretty nice too. RF also makes some nice amps for pushing subs. Hope this helps.

JBL=Infinity=Harmon is true BUT Infinity sound completely different than JBL. I have always preferred JBL over Infinity; JBL's tend to sound warmer with more bass.
