I love how when regular people get ripped off it's all about how shitty the dealer is, how they're manipulative and dishonest. But when a disabled person does it's this "GUYS I HAVE A HARD TIME FEELING SORRY FOR HER TO BE HONEST" bullshit some retard(s) is/are going on about.
If I got ripped off the same way she did, I
a) wouldn't have signed off on it in the first place
b) if I did realize I'd get jippped, return the car
c) if they didn't let me return it, I would then either take it to small claims court or just sell it to another dealer--there's a ton of them around
I wouldn't:
a) Wait until five months to pursue action
b) Use my disability to prop up my case in court
c) Ask some government dipshit to protect me from myself
Your point = nullified.
edit: to make it clear, this shit happens all the time, and some of it a lot worse. Only reason its a story now is because ZOMG SHE IS DISABLED. But she isn't really, or else she wouldn't (or shouldn't) have a license in the first place.
To clarify even further, the salesmen were fucking idiots, they should have asked or known something was up. The key to a good sell is finding out a lot about the person, or as much as possible. Mental disabilities are fairly clear and most dealers know to either just do as she asks or steer clear.
but no matter how you spin it, it's still her own fault for not taking matters into her own hands, and even going there in the first place. It has been a low rated dealer for a while, and I wouldn't be surprised if Mazda pulls their license after this stunt.
No one made her do anything, she did it, now she is refusing to take responsibility, because not only does the government let her, it encourages it.
