Car review sites?

I'm looking for a site that has user reviews of cars. Specifically if they break down a lot.
If one of you can help: I am finally on the market for my first 'new'/'semi-new' car, within the last three years I suppose. I have a trade in worth 3k, and can afford something like 7-9k, do 10-13k range. I want a compact deal thats easy on gas. I am looking at some Kias, cause theyre cheap and that 10year-100k mile warranty looks sweet. Any suggestions?

Edmunds

For that price you could probably find a rather bland selection of new vehicles, or, if you went used, you have a whole slew of vehicles to choose from.

yeah, i wanted to go new, because i am on my 4th car right now, and im only 20, all have broken down. i have a 92protege now, and i had a new trans put in this summer, it went out again, still under warranty, its fixed and i want rid of it.
its the newest car i have had. the rest were crap too. so, I figure if I go new I may have less headaches. maybe if I think 95ish, i will get more of a market...

I would try and look for a '99 VW Golf or Jetta TDI(diesel). If they are VW approved, they will carry a 5yr/50,000 mile warranty on used vehicles. The drivetrain is good for 10yr/100,000 miles.

The diesel engines have had great reliability, and get 44/49 miles per gallon (city/highway).

You should be able to get used ones for right around your price range.
