I'm wanting to rent a new corvette for mine and my GF's anniversary. I live in Snyder, TX so we would probably go to Lubbock, TX for the night. Anyone have any ideas of finding exotic type rental dealerships???

do you plan on proposing?

Maybe in California, but I dont think anywhere offers exotic car rentals unless you live near the rich rich rich.

Take her out on a horse carriage 😛

I live in California and there are many exotic car rental places. they are EXPENSIVE though (the places that rent vipers/ferraris).

on the other hand, Hertz here rents out very nice cars (not exotic) but still good-- for a good price. They have Landrovers, Escalades, Jaguars, Shelby mustangs, and some have corvette convertibles.

go rent a denali or a tahoe

If you want sport, some places offer Mustang (GT+) and G35s. Not comparable to a Corvette, but most girls dont care for that stuff, speed (from experience)

Ya, I don't think I'm going to try the whole sports car rental. I've got about 2 months to come up with something so I'm not worried.

With them, I'd rather rent the Boxster S. Better handling, and since you're not exactly going to be burning around a track, I think you'd have more fun with it. Also, classier interior. :thumbsup:
 
the Shelby GT-H can only be rented by people who have flown into that particular airport. the paperwork is mind-numbing. they basically treat you like you're a criminal renting jewelry instead of a POS mustang GT with an aftermarket muffler. (see C&D). and after all that, you're sitting in a crappy car. this will not impress the GF at all.

i would second the european saloon idea. your GF will be much more impressed than by a vette, whose interior is trounced by a honda accord.
