My car died today!!! I was driving in a parking deck...and it just died! I couldn't get it started again. The dood said something about the timing (?) belt being broken and that I don't maintain my car well and it leaks oil. Ahhhh...I'm so sad. I hope it gets fixed soon so I can DRIVE. I've become so dependent on my car. Good thing LordJezobutt was around to help me....thanks babe! :)

Oh, you better pray that you don't have an "interferance engine" if your timing belt broke. Otherwise the head is probably toast.

My car breaks down every other time I drive it. You should be happy.

Hopefully you didn't damage any valves or pistons when trying to start the car with a broken timing belt. Otherwise you'd be screwed and would have to overhaul it.

Leaking oil is really bad for the engine (I'm assuming you're not replacing the lost oil). Trust me, a little preventative maintenance is WELL worth the time and effort.

Tell me how leaking oil damages an engine.

I guess you need to do some preventative maintenance in the future!

On my 93 sentra it's leaking maybe a quart of oil every 2500-3000 give or take a bit. I have no intention of getting the rear main seal replaced to fix the problem, since that's a costly repair and over the last 10k miles or so I've had no problems, and the oil leaking hasn't increased.

It, uh, makes it all dirty and stuff. :p As long as you keep replacing the lost oil though, it's OK. (Uless it's leaking past the rings, or into the coolant.)
