Ok,

Suppose I own a car, its insured and registered.

Now I want to sell the car and buy another for profit.

If i REGISTER and insure a different car frequently i'm sure i might hit a dead end with a law.

Is there a LIMIT of LAW that forbids a person to buy and sell car, thoe NOT a dealer?

So why do you want the car if it's just going to sit parked on the street? No Insurance means no coverage for theft, vandalism etc....

This makes no sense. You want to buy a car and never use it? I mean, you can't drive it if you don't register and insure it, so are you just that desperate the get rid of some money? Would you like to pay off some of my CC while you're at it?

Nothing illegal about that here in Ontario. If you pay taxes on everysale and transfer the ownership everytime than what does the government care.

This was the question if y'all missed it.

No, there is no limit of law however some states cap the # of cars you can flip in a year.

actually not sure if that was the question. the guy was not very clear.

while right. there is no limit on how many you can sell. trouble is you do to many you are considered a dealer. wich imposes tax's and laws on that.

ah ontario, i think its different up there thoe

why don't you contact a lawyer in your state rather than asking ATOT? as there are regulations covering car dealers, i'm sure new york has come up with a definition of car dealer in some statute or another

I think it's 6/year in my state (iowa)
not sure how they'd catch you unless you were selling a car every week. The people at the DOT are fvcking clueless
