K so this morning, for the THIRD TIME this MONTH, the power window (driversside, but its happend to both now) jumped off the track and won't go up. I know how to temp. fix it, by taking the whole fricking inside of teh door off, but it's happened THREE TIMES now!!! I'm getting tired of tearing apart my car!

What happens is that somehow the entire back of the window will jump cmopletely out of the metal track it rides on, and I need to undo the bolt on the metal track to losen it up to slide the window back into it. Everything seems so tight, I have no idea how it even jumsp out of the terack. Does anyone know anythign that might be happening to caus this? What should I do to make sure it doesn't keep popping off the track?

This is gonna be a mightly cold winter if everytime I roll downj my windows I xcan't roll them back up...

honda actually knows about this. if your car is under warranty, bring it in and have them replace the rails. it happened in my 92, i ripped the door apart, readjusted, replace the motor (it was dying anyway) and dropped some oil on the rail to smooth it out. haven't have it jump since then. i did it that way since mine wasn't under warranty, but others i've heard have just brought it in. gl.

Sounds like an adjustment is in order, I'll bet one of these web-sites can tell you how to take off your door panel without destroying anything:

Honda-tech.com

Honda society

I found a website in Maxima.org's links that has photos & a DIY guide for common repairs on my Maxima. I can replace the window risers in about 1/2 hour now.

Now to fix that damn clock...
