So, lets say i have a car in my name, but another person is the main driver at a different address.

What if the other person gets pulled over without me in the car with them. Once they run the plates it'll be in my name.

What do they tell the officer? The insurance policy has there name on it and mine. Should that be okay and enough?

The registration has my information on it.

Unless the car is reported stolen the police won't do a thing but issue a ticket for whatever your friend was pulled over for, or say 'have a nice day".

That's fine. There shouldn't be any issue at all. A friend lent me a truck for a year and that's how we did it.

What if the other person mother was to drive the car to the grocery store. Lets say she got pulled over for a burnt out headlight.

Now the mother is no where on the cars paper nor the insurance. Will the cop just let her go? She has the same last name as the person on the insurance policy.

The mother has permission to drive the car btw.
