i haven't been out to my car in like 10 days..i parked it at the parking structure here at skool cuz i live in the dorms.. and when we got to my car today i couldn't start it, when i'd try to start it, the alarm would go off... and then i noticed my alarm light was still blinking..even when i pushed the alarm button on the remote, the doors would unlock as if the alarms off but the light keeps blinking..i couldnt start the car..

so we're thinking that somehow my alarm went off and it drained the battery or something? we noticed the clock was off too, it was 4pm but it said 1.. so we got a jump from a friend and it started, drove around for like 15 minutes, parked to go back in cuz we were gonna go out later...tried to start the car after we parked just to test it, and it didn't start, but this time, the alarm was fine and it didnt go off when i tried to start it..

did i not drive around long enoug[h to recharge the battery? or is the battery going bad and i need to get a new one?

also this question here is for people w/ integras..i have the stock stereo in my car, and after i got the jump to strat my car we tried turning on the radio..and on the screen it said like error or code, something like that..and i had to input a numeric code..anyone know where i'm supposed to find this code? i bought the car used so i dunno if he was suppose to give me it or something? because on the stock stereo's it has this "anti-theft" device so im guessing this is what happens when something goes wrong w/ the power like if someone tries to steal the stereo, once the power is cut from it, they need to put a code for it to work..

thanks guys

Usually it takes about 20 minutes to recharge the battery after its dead. However if the battery went bad by chance, recharging it will only last a bit and then go out again. So safest bet is to get a new battery. Usually $30-$50 depending on what kind ya get

you're right on that. what happens is the radio has an anti-theft device, and whenever the power to it is cut, you need to enter a security code into it for it to work. you might be able to get the code from your dealer, it varies, i've heard people getting it without trouble, some had to pay a fee, some had to have all original documentation, etc, some couldn't get a code and bought a new radio. when i got my teg the original owner gave me everything including the radio security code, told me not to lose it. you should have gotten it as well.

it sounds like your battery just died, it doesn't sound like anyone actually did anything to your car, or if they had then you didn't mention any signs of it.

as a fellow teg owner i would suggest you take better care of it, or if you're going to be leaving it alone for several weeks at a time maybe you shouldn't bring it to college. i have mine here with me but my dorms had the parking lot right next to the building, i could see it from my window. now i'm in my own townhouse here though, so it's parked right out front.

The code should be in your owner's booklet. If you don't have it then you will have to go to the deapership to get it reset.

the code should be on a business card that comes with the manuals and all that other stuff
you probably have some kind of "leather organizer" thing that contains all these things

yeah, ditto what all these guys said. as a fellow teg owner, i've got one thing to say: stock stereo is utter crap.

nope, all honda stereos have a security card the size of a credit card. if you want it easy, pull out your head unit, copy all numbers, get your title and call up honda/acura.

when i sold my head unit, i made sure to sell the card with it, as it is useless without.

also, if you leave the battery in there that long, make sure the connections doesnt start corroding or sulfuring, as a battery leak can melt hoses, such as your breakline as i think its near the battery on some tegs.

My teg's battery died and after a jump my security won't work anymore, how do I reset it? I don't have a code. When I push the unlock on the remote nothing happens
