Always check your lugnuts a few hundred miles after removing that tire. Ya never know when when will work it's way loose.

In a pinch, a McDonald's straw will adequately siphon water out of a throttle body and cylinders. 😱

Tip of the day: If your oil is two quarts low and you add more to bring it back up to full, remember to put the oil cap on before you close the hood.

Secondary tip of the day: Check your oil level frequently. Not doing so, and then suddenly finding out you left the oil cap off for TWO MONTHS is not a good thing. Fortunately for me, it was wedged in between two of the plug wires, and there was no lasting damage to the engine.

Carry cash. Stick a couple of rolls of quarters and a couple of $20's under the seat. Useful in 1000 different situations.

I have had AAA roadside service with 100 mile towing for over 30 years, used it many times and have never had to get my hands dirty. 😀

Here's a tip... For better gas mileage and sharper handling, put 5 more psi in your car than it recommends.
Wrong. This might work for some cars, but it's far from universal.

Wow, are you sure it was worth the $1800? 🙂

and uneven tire wear.... not a good idea

EDIT: In fact, a very bad idea. The tire pressure depends on the car not the tires.... for a reason. They designed the thing. They didn't just pull that number out of the air. You'll be spending more for tires when the tread is bare in the middle after 20,000 miles.

20,000 miles?
Not me buddy.
I swap out after 15 thousand at the most. Even if they look good. (Which is rare)

Do NOT exceed the maximum Cold inflation on the sidewall of the tire tho.

🙂

If you're getting head on the road, please be sure the woman is wearing a thong and a short skirt so passing drivers can get a nice flash as they go by.

I always like to have a cordless impact wrench in the trunk. You should be able to unscrew lugnuts with your body weight on the wrench. But, impact wrench is soooo coooool. 🙂

Oh, one tip:
If you have a truck or SUV, check to MAKE SURE the jack can actually jack up the vehicle. The one that came w/ our '78 GMC couldn't even reach the axle.

I keep an electric air pump in my car, so if I get a nail in one of the tires and it's leaking air, I can pump it back up and make it home or to the nearest gas station

CHANGE YOUR FVCKING OIL IN REGULAR CYCLES!!!!! It doesn't matter if its 3k, 5k, 7.5k as long as it is done regularly your engine will thank you, and it saves you from posting "YACT: I went 25k without changing my oil, now my motor is making funny noises, what do I do?"
