I have a Ford Mustang that I have leased. I plan to buy the car once the lease is up. But, my friend told me that even though I plan to buy the car that I shouldn't go over the milage. becasue they will still charge me for my miles. is this true? I thought that if you are going to buy the car, They wouldn't even see the car in order to check the miles.

I think technically your friend might be right. When you signed the lease, you signed a contract and essentially "bought" a certain ammount of usage on the car, including miles. If you go over the mileage, then technically you haven't lived up to your end of the lease and they might try to charge you for extra miles before they start dealing with you on the buyout part.

Definitely something you want to check out with your leasing company. They are the ones who would tell you what's up.
