Car heater problems

It was working fine. Had a couple of days when it was really cold, and it was sitting outside the whole time. Then I go to use it and the stupid thing is blowing cold. I jiggle all the nobs back and forth a few times and eventually get it warm. So I thought nothing of it, but now it is getting worse. It will usually heat up, but only blows hot on the lowest setting. As soon as I turn the fan speed up, it starts blowing cold. Like the air being pushed through the system isn't getting heated quickly enough before it is blown at me.

Anyone know what is going on?

If that was f'd up the carpet would be soaked and would smell like coolant.

Can't think of any work on cooling system.

My gf's step-dad also thinks it might be the thermostat. I will have him look at it next weekend.
