I have an old POS VW Jetta, 84. Crappiest POS ever. I love it. Almost free, $15 every week or two into gas and insurance is by my parents. Really helps with the cops 😉

I would recommend looking at a calvalier though. They look pretty decent and I had my heart set on for my first car but nah. Happier with the jetta until I get the cash for a good car.

make sure you research and educate yourself on cars before you buy one - don't buy them because they look nice. Take into effect MPG, engine, reliability, depreciation, safety options, options in general, and value. Visit sites like Epionions.com, Edmunds.com, and KBB.com to help with your decision.

Says the Scion xB owner 😉

I am the teen, how is a Grand Am, or a Alero?

Those are 2 good cars IF taken care of.

BUT if buying a used car that is 3 years or older teh reliability factor will be based MORE on the how the car was taken care of, not the make or model for the most part.

So find a car that YOU like and in a price you can REALLY afford (do not go into great debt for a car) and THEN look how it was taken care of. If it looks beat or the oil has not been changed often enough, etc.. then pass on it.

Why won't your parents let you drive your 760LI? If not, what about your Corvette?

If u do buy yourself a new car I hope that your 'rents will let you take the spinners off the beemer.
