Hello,

well , I think my car is going down :( ... looking into getting Subaru Impreza like '98-99 ... only if I could get a good financing ... b/c right now we have really big problems with money ... sis's medical school, my school, new cars, house ...

so, are there any deals , like no financing for few months or so ? ... decent financing rate ?

thx:)

Well... I think GM, Chrysler and Ford has no interest rate for the first six months. As for no payments the first few months, not sure anyone is willing to do that.

If you are buying a used car you won't find much in the way of super-low financing. But if you have good credit, call a few banks and see what they are charging. I'd guess they'll be around 6.5 or 7%. Then see what the dealer is offering.

As far as no payments for a few months, a way around that is to sell your current car for cash (not as a trade-in). Then you can use the money from that to help with the first few payments. Your loan will be higher, but it is a way.

That's actually not quite true. Most people with credit ratings of 700 or above get them on new cars; used cars and people with worse credit, though, won't have as much luck.

Check around on www.carbuyingtips.com and you should be able to find some info.
