Alright, my mind may just be burned out from 9 hours of working on my car, but I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I am installing a car security system, and along with it I am putting in power locks. I figured I mine as well take advantage of the feature on the remotes.
I have actuators all installed, and I have relays wired in the following configuration:
The 'Actuators/Reverse Polarity' one The only difference between this wiring and my actual wiring, is the alarm system harness supplies the 12v to the 85/86 terminals that require the power inputs.
Every time I install a fuse into the 'fused 12v power lines' it blows out... I troubleshooted for a while, and got to the point where it would still blow the fuse it only the 87's and the 87a's were connected (the power and ground wires). From this I have deduced that it is likely not the wires going to the harness or the wires running to the doors...
any suggestions? anyone know if this is possibly what happens when a SPDT relay dies (I have never experienced that) though they were brand new when installed, so I doubt it...
