Could have been, if some sediment stopped up the fuel line for a moment and then settled back down overnight. But I don't know how common that is on modern toyota's, it's definetly a possibility but I don't know how likely it is.

My guess:
Fuel filter problem (or injection clogged)
Air problems (possibly Oxygen sensor?)

It sounds like when you pulled up it just couldn't get enough gas or air. What do I know though.

I was wondering about that myself, but I'd really hope that the 150k service would include a fuel filter.

This used to happen on my mom's 94 chrysler town and country, and on my isuzu rodeo. after driving for a period of time at a constant velocity, you could pull in somewhere and it would just stall. It was a valve getting stuck from using cheap gas and getting gummed up. had them de-gunked and started using a different brand of gas, problem solved.

or it could be on onboard computer error, or a fuel pump problem.

I'm no mechanic but that's where I'd look first (fuel system) rather than electrical (alternator). How full/empty was your gas tank? I've seen vehicles that would die ehn making a turn because of low fuel (fuel goes to one side of tank---no pickup of fuel). Also have the fuel filters/fuel pump looked at.
