My car is going to be sitting for a while and I can't bear to have the tree and birds near my house poop all over it. Anyone have any suggestions on where to get a car cover and about how much it will run me? Should I get one at the dealer? Online? I've never bought one before so I'm clueless?

Thanks!

you can get them practically anywhere.... dunno about the quality...

k-mart, wal-mart, advanced auto parts, autozone, etc. etc.

How long is a while because a car cover can trap moisture coming up from the ground and then the car cover will hold it in and possibly speed along the rusting process of your car.

I would not buy a cover at the dealer unless you have a couple year old car. Otherwise, I'd go to your local auto parts store, advance, auto zone, pep boys, etc. and get one there.

It'll be sitting for a week at a time in my driveway. I'll prolly pull the cover off on the weekends and spin it around the block and wash it if need be. I was just curious if there's any difference in quality or if there were some things to look out for. Thanks.

The biggie is water repellant and water proof are two completely different terms.

There are many differences, but if you are just talking about a few months I'd get a slot in an indoor storage facility and park it there.

CostCo B&M has some nice car covers which are highly rated and at a decent price.
