Car Clutch help

I've been having issues with my clutch as that it will only start the car if it push the clutch peddle to the floor and move it to the right slightly. I'm sure there is a switch somewhere but I have no idea what the name of it would be (so I can't search for it online). Closest I came was a neutral safety switch but that says it's only for automatic cars.

Anyone can help, PLEASE?

Thanks for the info, I think I should see if there is a way to disconnect it. My old car (a pontiac sunbird) had this issue till one day I didn't even need to push in the clutch - guess the part broke or locked in. I never use my gears as a parking break, unless on a large hill.

Yeah, I have many, er? Friends who started their cars in gear, realeased the clutch without moving into neutral. We all got a good laugh!
