car broken into, door bent

(copy pasted from another forum and myspace blog, not my car but ive been driving it while loaning my mom my car)

why do people have to be so stupid? i walked out to my car(98 corolla) to grab some cds out of it and i noticed that my door was open. i get to it, my cds are gone, my deck is gone, my storage door(in the center console) was broken and busted out, and my door was bent, it looks like they use a screwdriver to pry my door open and unlock my door from the inside, is there a fix for my door? do i have to get a whole new door or can they bend it back into place? my window isnt cracked, and i dont have power windows mirrors or locks any suggestions would be appreciated. im gonna call my insurance guy in the morning, and the cops just left after taking my statement. =[ ******

you can bend back the door. they just pulled the window frame out a little bit. you'll have some wind noise now though since it will never seal the same again. that sucks. why the heck do they even have to break teh center console too? not like it's lockable. thieves suck and need to get their kneecaps broken with a blunt object.

to bend back your window frame, open your door, roll down the window. put your knee onto the door panel for leverage and pull in where it's bent out. should get it back pretty close.

EDIT: You have my condolences and I also wish there would be more of a harsh punishment. I've always wanted to install some C4 that would be attached to my deck. When they pull it out, they go bye bye. :)

haha yeah my drivers side door, i dont think they meant to break it, its pretty fragile as it is they probably just ripped out the door ill try to bend it back tomorrow if it snot snowing

They should introduce caneing in america like that kid who got caught vandalizing those
expensive cars in singapore. Extreme pain might give these a$$holes some respect..
