Anyway, i just got back into car audio recently and been out of the loop since high school.
so of course i made some mistakes. first off i didnt know bandpass was out. lol, purchased that Qlogic dual 12" bandpass and after a while, got rid of it. i first got a JLaudio W1 and sealed box at local shop and decided it wasnt enough, when i got the punch 600.1 amp, i thought it wouldnt handle it so i got the W3 sub and is why i have 2 bastard subs. their both 4 ohm so think i'll just sell those and get a single W3 2 ohm and just keep it in the Qlogic box shown in pics.

the qlogic box is both vented or sealed and it definitly hits alot harder vented. packed some polyfill in it and temporarily put my W1 in an old sealed box.
second mistake was to get rid of my factory 6x9's and replaced them with infinity's and an Alpine T220 amp....sounds the same as it did factory!!:bang:

built the amp raq from 1/8th birch, all the wires, preamp, isolators are behind it and is a mess.
my entire trunk is coated with truck bed liner to prevent rattling and works 100%, no rattles inside or out even at full volume...thats saying alot considering how many horrible rattling trunks i hear from other cars going by.

head unit and door speakers are still factory, does the job and i guess doesnt tempt would be theives looking in, overall atm its really loud and hits hard, so hoping to save some space and that a single 2ohm sub will work the same but i'm sure the combination of sealed and ported is making a unique sound of its own.

holy ghetto. mismatching amp, subwoofer, subwoofer boxes. factory head unit & speakers to top it off 🙁

got any pics of the entire trunk with the bed liner? where did you go to get it done?

My stereo is shaping up as follows

Head Unit: Kenwood DNX7100
Front Speakers: MB Quart Premium PVF 216 Components
Rear Speakers: MB Quart Premium PVF 215 Components
Speaker Amp: MB Quart Premium PAB 4100
Subwoofer: JL 10v2w6
Sub Amp: MB Quart Premium PAB 1200.1

In my truck I have:
an Alpine preamp-only headunit,
a cheap 25x4 amp for my doors
Fronts are Kicker 5 1/2" 3ways, back doors are factory Ford Audiophile 6x8
a Kenwood KFC110 10" sub in a 1.4cf box powered by a Pyramid 300x2 amp using only one channel.

I want to get a DVC sub so i can use both channels. Ill post some pics if anybody wants.

how do you like that W6?
i was wanting a 12" one but the guy at the store recommended the W3 for my amp, said the W6 wouldnt put out as much as W3 cause i wouldve needed more power

why? it looks like bedliner, lol

Still in the planning phases, but here's what I'm looking at

Head Unit - Alpine IDA-X001 - Will be replaced with IVA-W505 w/ Blackbird
Signal Processing - AudioControl DQXS, 2XS, Epicenter
Front Stage - Dayton Reference 8" (4), Dayton Reference 4" (4), SEAS 1" Tweeter(4) - Fully active
Rear Fill - Dayton Reference 6" (2)
Subwoofer - Fi Q 18" - 7.75 cu ft, tuned to 27 hz
Amplifiers - Alpine PDX 4.150 (Front midbass & midrange), PDX 4.100 (Front high and rear fill), PDX 1.1000 (Subwoofer)

Just ordered all door speakers, and two 4 channel amps. Still need to order power cable, RCA's and sound deadener. Hope to have mostly done this summer.

Head Unit - Some cheap Sony one (gets the job done)
Sub amp - Blaupunkt (200 watts RMS Bridged at one channel)
Sub - 12" Blaupunkt (with Blaupunkt sealed enclosure)
Speaker amp - 4 channel Blaupunkt, running 2 channels (bridged, 200watts RMS at 4 ohms for each channel)
Speakers - Diamond Audio S600s Hex (silk tweeters)

I'm thinking about eventually doing a slight upgrade to my sub amp and getting a more powerful sub.

I highly recommend people look into Hertz Components.

I had Focals, and my new Hertz components just blow them out of the water. They were pretty cheap too, only 650 for a 3 way set, tweet, mid, and woofer.

Wow, only 650 a set. That's only $2600 for my doors! Amazingly cheap!

LOL. When he said a set it means a pair of woofers, mids, tweeters and crossover units.

He's talking about a component set, and a very high quality set at that.

They can be had for a lot cheaper though..
