Going to be putting a system in my 1973 Mach 1 mustang.

Speakers are going to be Infinity Kappas all around. 6x9 693.5i's in the rear. Not sure on which Infinitys for the front yet. Also not sure on subs and headunit.

I was thinking about the Kenwood KAC-X520 for the amp (kenwood's 2ch top of the line). I will be running two subs, either 10" or 12" depending on what will fit in the trunk and still look nice. What kind of subs would go well with this amp? I was thinking of going with a pair of Infinity subs, but I don't know how well they will work with this amp. I want a lot of bass, but I don't wanna spend a boatload of money.

If you're putting in Kappas you definetly want to get an amp for the speakers, and then a seperate amp for the subs. What's the power rating on the amp? What type of subs you get depends on what power it puts out. And what's your total spending limit for the subs?

Whats your budget? And where are you getting your equipment. You can sometimes get things for up to half off going online, which means you can buy much better equipment for the same price.

I would like to spend $150-$300 on a pair of subs (just the subs nothing else). Subs will most likely be ordered locally for warranty unless I get a really good deal online. Everything else will be ordered online. I got the rear speakers for $141 shipped.

Infinity subs would work nicely, they dont exactly have tear your head off bass but they do sound very good from what I hear. I'd check space first as well, that can play a huge role. Also, dampening. As I recall older cars dont have much dampening, and 12's would certainly make the tin shake n rattle.
Well, I'd do Shiva's if it were me, but Infinity would work too and give you a nice Infinity themed setup.
