Car audio people, what do you think about Jensen?

Clarion, Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, Panasonic, Alpine, Blaupunkt, lots others > Jensen

The sales guy at circuit city even told me that they (Jensen) were pieces of crap and not to buy that brand, even showed cheaper items that were better built than the Jensen:shocked:

schadenfroh that's disparragement and they aren't allowed to do that. If you want to be an asshole, tell the manager you work for jensen and you're very offended. He'll get in trouble, maybe even fired.

so are they supposed to lie if you ask the right questions? like, i once asked this sales guy at a car audio store if the jensen 6.5" speakers were better than my stock dodge speakers, and he said straightup 'yes'. and they were on sale that night (night after xmas, crazy deals at that store.. people waited in line, and yes i did too with my friend and we all got nothing cuz everything was gone...) for $10. and yet said they were better than my stock. i wanted to laugh.
or.. was he somehow, yet insanely, right?
 
Oh relax I was joking, I worked at Circuit City for four years. However, he's not very good at his job if he flat out says a particular product is better. There are ways to say 'that sucks' without actually saying, 'that sucks'. You say what little good you can say about the product at hand, but then say things that other, better products have that it lacks. Upsell, upsell, upsell!
 
Jensen could possibly be the worst brand of car audio out there. I may rank it ahead of that "Roadmaster" crap or whatever brand that is that Walmart sells.
 
I think there is only one other brand as craptacular as Jensen.

Kraco.

You see them at walmart. 500 watt car CD unit for 20 bucks.
 
Why all the hate?😀 Granted it's not in the same line as Sony, JVC, Pioneer...ect but still better than most of the swap meet products out there (Boss, Soundstorm...ect). Of course I wouldn't sport any of their products in my car though.

Sony is not in the same class as Pioneer when it comes to car audio. Sony is almost as bad as Jenson....
