Car audio people. Need a good retailer.

I've been an avid follower of Crutchfield for many years. Mainly because both of their stores are withing 50 miles of me so I usually buy from their outlets.

I went by this weekend looking for a set of 6 1/2" and a set of 6x9s for my Camry. They really didn't have anything in their outlet which only left me with their way overpriced retail speakers. I do have to give them credit that they do give you everything you need for installation including instructions, equipment, and awsome service if you need it on the phone. But their retail prices are crazy.

Is there another retailer that usually gives your adapters and whatnot along with decent prices?

btw I'm looking at

Infinity reference 6002si 6 1/2 for the front ($99.99) and
Infinity Kappa 692.5i for the rear ($199.99). This is Crutchfield's price which is also retail.

What about other local stores? Maybe they have what you need with the same service you get at Crutchfield.

Sounddomain.com is good cuz they carry lots of quality products and they pricematch as well.

Sounddomain's price on the speakers is the same a Crutchfield. As far as local retailers I'll have to check out of town as we don't have any locally but I'll be in that town on Saturday. I'm looking at etronics right now and they have the Kappa 692.5i set for $112 but doesn't come with the adapter or install instructions as far as I can tell. That is the one thing I do like about Crutchfield. They give you everything you need.

If you can find a good local shop, then go there. Most will go out of their way to make you happy. The trick is to find a good one.

For your Camry there are no special instructions. I actually found that the instructions for removing the front door panels was missing one step; not good. I bought my first HU from them and a set of 6.5's for my parents' car (didn't want to cut any wires) and in both cases I had to rig up something since what was in the car didn't match what the install sheets showed.

Yea rear seat removal instructions for my Neon was a bit different than what their instructions showed but that was no biggie. I'll check the local shops this weekend.

The other thing you gotta watch out for is if you are looking for warranty coverage then some brands such as infinity require you to buy from an authorized dealer.
