Car Audio Peeps: Quick Question

My friend and I no nothing about amplifiers. He has this JL 12W3-D2 subwoofer.

The link says Nominal Impedence: dual 2 Ohms and Power Handling (continuous): 250 watts. For an amp, he needs something that will push at least 250 watts RMS X 2 at 2 Ohms, right? Or can he use an amp that pushes 250 watts RMS X 1 bridged?? We so 😕

We have no idea what amp would be appropriate for this sub. This is the only thing the amp will be powering. Any suggestions?

It's dual 2 ohms. So, if you wire it in series, you'll have a 4 ohm load. You'll need an amp that delivers ~250 watts into 4 ohms.
