I currently have a Sony CDXF5510 Xplod CD deck in my car that I got a while back. XM/CD MP3 ready etc. I got it at Best Buy and they installed it for free. I've been using one of those FM transmitters for my iPod to play in the car, but recently it has become a piece of garbage. A friend told me that my deck might have an aux cable in the back that I could run through my glove compartment and plug directly into my iPod so I wouldn't have to use the FM crap anymore with any static or interference. Is this true? I've been looking online for a review of the deck or something, but I can't find anything. Thanks :p

check out the unit on crutchfield.com. It says that Aux input is optional. So your unit might have one.

oh bother, before anyone leads you down the wrong path...

Here

Above is a link to a "do it yourself" guide, hopefully your car is listed. Installing/uninstalling a headunit is not very difficult, unless it's a fvcking lexus.

"Auxiliary Input Adapters
These adapters will give you an auxiliary input. You even keep the CD-changer jack and add a USB input too."

So I'd have to buy one?
