Hey ATOT, I am looking for some advice on my car audio problem... I installed XM radio yesterday and in the process accidently touched one of the 12V leads to the stereo.. it sparked but nothing major happened.... so i hooked everything back up and my subs just kept going "BOOM,BOOM,BOOM" so i disconnected them and the radio itself along with XM radio work fine.. just no subs... the subs themself seem fine, i am thinking that i might have blew the fosgate amp : ( : ( anyone have any ideas and what might have happened? thanks

Convert the RCA signal to a regular stereo plug (a la radioshack adapter) and then listen with a pair of headphones. If you hear anything, amp is saved. If you don't... amp may be screwed.

press the reset button on the amp(some have it) also check the fuse.
If no reset button. remove the power cable from it and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
