Car amp question...

edro

Lifer
I went from a 2 channel sub amp with 2 subs (bridged), down to a mono sub amp with one sub.

The old amp had 2 RCA inputs from the head unit, and 2 RCA outputs to go to my other amp (4 channel for other speakers).

Since the new amp doesn't have an RCA output to go to my other amp, my rear speakers are not working.

What do I do?

I know it is very vague, but I don't really know what else to say.

Ah, you're trying to say that your old amp had a Line In pass-thru, which allowed you to daisy-chain the amps together, right?

Does the OTHER amp have a pass-thru? If so, then use that as the first amp in the chain. If not:

Well, you'll have to get a Y-splitter. Radio Shack sells them for like $2.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.... I was also thinking about getting a splitter.....but I have never seen a car amp using a cheap Y Adapter....

Put the Y adapter on the RCA cable

I have a 4 channel amp that is using all 4 of them.... I I guess I need to put a Y adapter on the Rear channel of the 4 channel amp, and the Mono sub amp.....

But wouldnt that divide the 5v RCA output signal and make it crappy?

the y cable should be running in parrallel....put it off the back of your deck...not off the amp...they come in 2 packs at walmart (so you get both outputs doubled) for $3 😉
