Car alarm question

My car alarm suddenly went on the fritz, every time I turn it on by locking the doors with my keyless entry remote it waits a few seconds then goes off. I believe it's an aftermarket alarm, it has the usual multi-tone alarm but no horn honking sound when it goes off and the lights don't flash. It has a push button on/off switch wired into the control panel with a red LED that blinks when its on and stays on steady when it's turned off.

Currently I have the alarm turned off till I can figure out what's going on, is there anything I can do myself or do I need to just take it to someone who actually knows that they're doing? It has been raining a bit lately, but then again it's Florida and it's always raining a bit so it's odd if that's what caused this to happen now even though I've had the car here for 2 years. It's a 2003 Toyota 4Runner if that helps at all. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I had this same problem with an aftermarket alarm and it was a problem with the main door lock modulator in the driver's side door.
