Car alarm installation....

EXTREMELY EASY - drill a hole in the dashboard... stick in a RAVE night from the underside... ensure the blinking of it through a setting w/ the fuse .... put on a see through plasticy, type thing that would show the blink

Sure it's a bluff... but hey, it's worked for my friend who lives in Downtown LB for years now, and hey - I don't exactly LOCK UP my CLUB either 😉
I personally think if a person really wanted to steal your car, and they were will to put it all on the line, and ALARM isn't going to sop them. I mean, hey, when I hear an alarm go off, I don't exactly run outside to check and get the plate...

There were too many false alarms (guys messing w/ their cars and setting it off) that I'm sure many people disregard most calls. (there are probably those who do run out and check though, who knows)

I have a friend who works for a car audio shop. When he did the install on my car (system & alarm) I hung out with him in the install bay and watched. It was a long, pain-in-the-neck process. Plus, the warranties of most (if not all) alarm manufacturer's (where they promise to pay X amount of dollars if your car is stolen, etc) are void if the alarm is not installed professionally.

Get it done at a good shop where the installers all have a lot of experience, not at a BB/CC. There?s too many things that could go wrong. A malfunction due to a bad installation has a good change of leaving you stranded somewhere.

Basically ive aqqired a autopage alarm, and it seems FAIRLY easy from the instructions, but im just afraid that theres gonna be a tricky side to it that i dont get......

Seriously, if you have had any experience with installation, then you might want to try to do this yourself. But judging from what you've said, you're "Afraid" that there's going to be a trickly side. If you're entering something w/ not a lot of confidence, then it'd be important to get a professional installer to do this for you. Pay the money and bypass the hassle and pain that you might inflict upon yourself

im pretty confident in electronics in general tho.. so hmmmmm

If you're skilled in some aspects of electronics then you can go ahead and give it a try, just know that if you get caught up in a jam, make sure you go seek help - preferably bring your car into the alarm installation shop and have them complete the job... make sure they don't make up some BS like -since you've already messed it up (or you've done it all wrong) we're going to have to take it apart, that's an extra MILLION dollar fee 😉
