Too many people think that their AWD or 4x4 vehicles are impervious to slick & icy roads.

I don't think this is correct. I do believe it gives them a better sense of security which some people push too far, but most people still know they can get stuck with 4wd.

Notice the 2 fords that kept control of their vehicles by not locking the brakes. The black/dark blue one (ford 500 maybe?) that threaded the entire street, and the red one (I think it's an old ford, hard to tell) that backed up out of the way of a sliding car.

Stupid or bad drivers cause accidents, which those 2 were not. At least in that case. They didn't lock the brakes, and were able to control their vehicles enough to not run into something. If most of them would have let off the brakes, they would have been able to steer around the other cars.

We need a good snow here. My store hasn't been doing so well since they opened that snooty Enterprise down the road.

I love seeing 4x4s stuck in the ditch. Pro tip, they're not safer if you still drive like a maniac.
