I was stopped in the left turn lane on the southbound side of a divided four-lane highway, awaiting traffic to clear so I could pull into my office complex. It was still very early in the morning so traffic was light, but there were a few cars going northbound. There was a lady turning left out of my office complex to head southbound. She pulled out in front of a guy, so much so that he hit her front wheel area - he had absolutely no chance to stop, so he was probably still going 35-45 mph at impact even after locking his brakes. It knocked her into the median, and he ping-ponged across the northbound lanes - right into my car.
Fortunately my car didn't suffer too much damage. There is a lot of paint scratched off my front bumper but no dents anywhere that I could see. The other two cars are totaled for sure. The lady who caused the accident was unhurt though she did go to the hospital, the guy who hit her was not so lucky. He had pain in his left side, probably caused by the airbag deployment. If she had pulled a tenth of a second earlier, he would have hit her driver side door, and would likely have been injured very badly.
What a crappy way to start the day for everyone involved.
